How to Get the Most Out of Your Diablo 4 Beta Experience
The wait for Diablo 4 is almost over, and players can’t wait to dive into the game. To get ready, Blizzard has announced two betas in March that will give players a taste of what’s in store. Here are all the details you need to know about the upcoming betas and how to make the most out of your experience.
Step 1: Know When You Can Play
The early access beta will begin Friday, March 17, at 9 a.m. PDT and ends Monday, March 20, at 12 p.m. PDT. The open beta will begin Friday, March 24, at 9 a.m. PDT and ends Monday, March 27, at 12 p.m. PDT. Anyone can play the open beta, but only those who have been approved or pre-ordered/followed the KFC promotion can get into early access.
Step 2: Open Beta
Open Beta starting on the 22nd at 9 AM PST, respectively. If you've already preloaded Early Access, there's no need to do it again for Open Beta as progress carries over from one beta period to another (but not into full launch).
Step 3: Take Advantage of Crossplay Features
Crossplay support will be available during both betas, which means you'll be able to join other people's games regardless of the platform as well as carry over your character progress between platforms during these two periods (not after launch, though). Console players can also play up the four-player online coop, while couch coop allows two players max if they own a copy of the game each.
Step 4: Don't Worry About Reaching Max Level
The level cap for both Betas is 25, so don't stress too much about reaching the max level since this won't be possible anyway - however, you're free to explore Fractured Peaks after reaching the level cap without accruing any more XP!
Step 5: Explore What's Available During Betas
Rogue Sorcerer Barbarian and Necromancer Druid will come later with an open beta release, but Act 1 storyline, along with a large open world area called Fractured Peaks dungeons world events scheduled World Boss fight should keep you busy until then!
Step 6: Have Fun & Keep In Mind Progress Won't Carry Over After the Launch
Though progress made during both Betas carries over from one period into another, it won't transfer once the full version launches, so everyone will start fresh on June 6, 2023, when Diablo IV finally releases!
