YouTube Shopping Features Roll Out to More Creators
The world of live-stream commerce is not entirely common for audiences in the US. But it has long fallen into popularity on the Asian scene. China has turned into a hub and chances are the Middle East will rapidly follow its steps. So, what about making purchases via live streams in the western world? It looks like the western market is ready to jump the bandwagon. YouTube has already started making steps in that direction. Keep reading for more information.
According to the recent report from Insider, the video platform is currently on the prowl for effective ways to give a larger number of content creators access to commerce tools that boost live streams. In a recent YouTube Brandcast event, for instance, the video streaming giant promoted itself as the go-to place for advertisers’ TV ad dollars. As of today, YouTube works on fixing popular brand’s attention on its live-stream commerce-boosting features.
One of these top-notch features allows two creators to go live simultaneously for the purpose of co-hosting a single shopping broadcast. The idea behind the tool is that you can double your engagement, for two creators instead of one equals twice more viewers. Sounds tempting, doesn’t it? This tool will be largely up for grabs in the early spring.
In addition to working on an array of sales-driving features, YouTube is also partnering with Shopify to grant creators and manufacturers the possibility to feature their Shopify stores on their YouTube channels. Smart move, big Y!
With all that said, it looks like all these efforts to transform YouTube into a shopping destination where you can shop straight from live streams are going to pay off. What do you think?
