Twitter Blue Users Will Get a Long-Awaited Edit Button
It seems that Twitter is actively working on introducing the new edit button, which has been requested by the platform users for a long time. At the moment, the feature has been seen as part of the web version, but, likely, it will later appear for iOS and Android devices. Not long ago, the company confirmed that they have been working on this feature and that it will be available for Twitter Blue users.
The first person to notice this feature in the web version is Alessandro Paluzzi. The developer shared a screenshot on his Twitter page and showed that the editing feature can be seen by clicking on the three-dot menu next to a posted tweet. As can be seen on the screenshot, there will appear a window where users can edit their tweets and then click on an Update button that will replace the original message with a new one.
As the feature has just been spotted for the first time, it will likely be refined or maybe even changed in the future. At the moment, we still don’t know how much time users have to be able to edit their tweets.
Twitter announced on April 5 that the team was working on the new editing feature and that it should become available to Twitter Blue users in the next few months. At the moment, the company hasn’t shared any specific dates as to when the feature will become available.
There have been plenty of users who have been waiting for this feature, so it’s likely to be widely used on the platform. It is a common problem when you quickly post a tweet and then notice several typos in it. It would be interesting to see if the company will later provide this feature not only to the users of Twitter Blue but also to everyone else on the platform.
Are you a Twitter Blue user? What do you think about this feature? Please, tell us what you think in the comments section below this post.
