TikTok Recruits The New-Generation Cybersecurity Talent

Grace Edwards 29 Aug 2021

TikTok announced a new partnership with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA). The popular social media app is planning to help the organization launch Cybersecurity Education and Career Resource Library. It will provide high-quality resources and direct guidance to students and professionals in the field.

Encouraging Cybersecurity Market

The new school year starts in several days, and millions of new students will select their courses. TikTok is also reporting a global trend for career change amongst professionals worldwide. The platform believes that its audience includes many people curious about the security and privacy sectors of the IT industry. Teaming up with NCSA is a step towards the promotion of cybersecurity education programs and career opportunities in the field directly through the app.

The rising interest in career-related content with a #careeradvice hashtag generates over 80 million views. It’s a true sign that the app will make a huge impact on the cybersecurity industry.

Besides, TikTok sponsored US Cyber Games and would host Career Fair in September. The event will be broadcasted online on TikTok and LinkedIn, which is a surprising and promising collaboration.

High Expectations

Although TikTok isn’t the first social media platform to promote and invest in professional education, it has the broadest reach on the market. The rise of career-related clips was a signal to develop a brand new use for the app. It’s already clear that the app is revolutionizing consumption habits.
