The Pokémon Center UK: Where to Find, What to Look at

Liam Alexander 13 Dec 2021

The official Pokémon Center UK is finally working! Now, all the British Pokémon fans can place their orders right here and receive them in time. And for rather a modest fee: any delivery will cost just £5, no matter what it contains.

The center has everything a true Pokémon fan can ever wish for. The first items to appear, though, were jumpers and plushes, and now they are accompanied by caps and beanies and also winter socks, which is logical for the current period. The selection is quite large, with dozens of items in each category; it’s still much less, though than the number of the Pokémon in the Pokédex.

A true fan will be glad to see that within any category, they can find Pokémon by their region and their type. If you need, say, a souvenir plush version of a water Pokémon from Kanto, you may easily run into Vaporeon in any of these sections. In addition, there is a direct search, as a field at the top of the website.

There are also pins of zinc alloy and hard enamel, with any Pokémon you can imagine. For those who don’t agree with Pokémon being just digital beings, there is a special trading card section. Of course, one just cannot buy a certain card by choice: there are full game boxes or certain decks that contain also other merch stuff.

What the Pokémon Center so far lacks is the video game section. It appears as “temporarily unavailable”, though for most players Pokémon is all about video gaming. But it’s logical to suppose that there one will find Nintendo Switch consoles, digital game downloads, as well as electronic accessories like Pokémon Go Plus, Poké Ball Plus, and so on. Theme versions of Joy-Cons and other Switch accessories would also be great, as well as Pokémon-themed gamepads, phone cases, or stands.

Are you a Pokémon fan? Would you rather buy stuff from Pokémon Center UK if you’re in Great Britain? Do you like the selection and the prices? Let’s have a Pokétalk down here in the comments!
