Switch to Android App Will Now Be Available for iOS Users

Switching to another operating system can be quite a time-consuming process, especially if you have a lot of data on your smartphone. If you want to transfer data from your iPhone to Android, you can now do this much easier and quicker with the help of a new Switch to Android app.

Google has released a new application for iPhone users, but right now it is unlisted in the App Store, but it is possible to still download this service if you have a direct link. With the help of this application, users will be able to quickly transfer photos, videos, calendars, and contacts without having to use a cable or other services. It’s not just Google that has created this type of an app, as Apple has a similar one in the Play Store for owners of Android devices who want to switch to iOS.

When users install this new application, they will see a step-by-step guide on how they can transfer their data. One of the first steps when doing this is to disable iMessage, as this allows you to get messages from iPhone users as SMS on your new Android smartphone.

Before having this app, users had to transfer data by uploading it to Google Drive. The problem is that doing this can not only take a long time but also not everyone had enough space on Google Drive for all the data. Another option was to use a Type-Cable. Both of these variants are surely less convenient compared to using a specialized app.

One thing to note is that users need to have iOS 12 or later to be able to install the Switch to the Android application from the App Store. It will also be necessary to confirm a range of permissions to be able to access data on your smartphone. At the moment, it is unclear when the app will be officially listed in the App Store.
