Spotify is still No 1 among musing streaming services. It tops the chart of the most used streaming apps around the world. The second place belongs to Apple Music.

Numbers significantly grew in the second quarter of 2022. Compared to the same time last year, the use of streaming services received 26 percent growth. Spotify is still dominating this market with the highest share. While it was an expected position from Spotify, Apple Music’s second place became a surprise for many analysts.

Recent data from the market shows Spotify with 31 percent of the market share. Apple Music has only 15 percent, but it is enough to get to 2nd place. With such a quick rise, Apple’s music service has all the chances to lead the chart. As for Spotify, while the company managed to hold first place, the 31 percent share is lower than it was in the second quarter of 2021 when the raise was 33 percent. Basically, it lost 2 percent in growth, while Amazon Music received 25 percent growth on the market, and finished the second quarter with a 20 percent increase. Amazon Music holds a 13 percent market share and is in 3rd place for now.

Meanwhile, Spotify is still on top in the global chart of streaming music services, and other companies can’t compete with it. Recently, Spotify revealed new upcoming features made to increase the popularity of the service. New updates will improve the sound quality and ease the search for new music. Spotify's HiFi feature will be able to provide support to the lossless audio. Its rivals work hard on extra features too. Recently, Apple Music introduced Spatial Audio support in order to attract more subscribers.
