Rumors: Activision Releases Modern Warfare 2 in 2022
Although the new CoD franchise part called Vanguard hasn't even been released yet, fans are already talking with might and main about the sequel to Modern Warfare. In the wake of 2019’s game success, the creators have scheduled a sequel to be released. They are rumored to have increased production and even brought in former employees from Rockstar, Respawn, DICE, and Santa Monica studios to the project. In this article, we have collected everything that is known about this game to date.
It is reported that Modern Warfare 2 will receive an M rating due to the high amount of blood, cruelty, obscene language, and drug use. The plot of the main campaign will be devoted to the last point. They say that when creating this part of the franchise, the developers were inspired by films such as "Traffic" and "No Country for Old Men."
According to the plot, Task Force 141 will be engaged in the fight against Colombian drug cartels. The fighters will receive new uniforms, weapons, and equipment corresponding to the theme. All operations will have to be performed quietly, without attracting attention, so bulky tanks and planes have no place here. The redesigned AI system will bring all events closer to reality. NPCs will now suffer from their injuries, lose self-control, and react believably to player actions.
Also, the developers were focusing their efforts on the brand new Warzone mode, which has become incredibly popular. Most likely, we'll get a new huge map with updated locations like Favela and Afghan. Besides, it is planned to add a third mode to the game in the "Hazard Zone" style, which will combine PvE and PvP and update and supplement the multiplayer mode.
How do you feel about the CoD franchise? Do you think rebooting it is a good step? Are you looking forward to the Vanguard and MW2 release?
