Remember About Your Medication With iOS 16
With iOS 16, the Health app will get a new useful feature, that will allow you to track your medication safely. Users will be allowed to type in their lists and choose to have reminders on set dates. Apple is looking forward to making its platform helpful for more users.
The Medication update can help people manage their intake and find out more about possible interactions between different drugs. Make sure to discuss your treatment plan with a professional beforehand, so you don’t end up in any dangerous situations.
There will be available a free iOS 16 beta in July, so you need to keep an eye out for an update. To access a new feature, you will need to enter the Health app, go to the Browse tab, and there see the Medication panel.
Upon tapping on the Medication, you will be suggested to either scan your prescription or type it in manually. When you start to type in the name of the medication, the app will suggest to you possible other names of the drug. You can also look up supplements and vitamins on the Health app.
The feature will allow you to set reminders and nicknames with notes about your treatment plan. You can also choose the color and form of the pills taken. Of course, there is a tab that lets you pick interactions with different substances like alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. The app additionally shows you a connection with other medications that you should consider not taking during your treatment.
When your reminder shows up, you can note if it was taken or skipped. This update can be helpful to many users that need constant medical attention. Furthermore, you can export a PDF list of the medication you’ve entered and add more of them on the main screen.
