Nintendo Will Feature Sonic Spinball on the Nintendo Switch
Sonic has been making a lot of waves in the news lately, from topping and replacing itself at the box office to new releases on Nintendo. Currently, Sonic holds the first and second place as the movie with the biggest box office opening. And it seems Nintendo plans on capitalizing on its resurgence in the media as well.
So, it looks like we will be seeing a lot of Sonic in the coming months. Fans of the Sonic games will be overjoyed to know that the Sonic Origin game will soon be launched on the Nintendo Switch. While some fans are happy that a game will be released, some seem dismayed that once again they will not be seeing Sonic Spinball in these rereleases and anniversary bundles. It seems Nintendo has given a listening ear to these cries and will be updating Sega’s Genesis Library with a "What if Sonic was a pinball?" game in a Switch Expansion Pack.
The Sonic Spinball was released in 1993 by Shea Genesis as a pinball platform game. Players use controlled paddles to move Sonic around in search of Chaos Emeralds. There are some complaints about the controls being fidgety and that the platform is sometimes confusing. There have even been complaints of lagging issues when there’s more action taking place. But most fans don’t care about these issues in the game and love it anyway. However, they can’t wait to get their hands on Sonic Origins.
For those who are not fans of the Sonic franchise, Nintendo has something for you. Space Harrier 2 and Shining 2 will be released by Nintendo as tactical ROG games. With these new games being added, the number of available games in the Genesis Expansion Pack increases to a total of 25.
