New Whiteboard Features for Google Meet
Google Meet is a widely known platform used for creating calls with your friends and colleagues. It has a set of important functions letting participants explain their ideas and thoughts more easily. Recently, Google announced an integration of Google Meet and Miro to create new whiteboard tools for the app.
Miro is a relatively young whiteboarding platform that provides users with several interesting tools while they work on something. You can now access its library while on Google Meet. For example, participants can create sticky notes for ideas or add comments to something already put on the board. Additionally, you don’t have to worry about space since you can pull up a new board besides the existing one.
You don’t have to create a Miro account to use its whiteboard. Google Meet lets you freely express your ideas while at the conference. Guests can save a board for up to 24 h in case someone needs to check the contents. Whiteboards are not an unusual occurrence since many of Google’s rivals like Zoom have long integrated the feature, but Miro boards might bring Meet to a new level.
Interface for Miro won’t greatly affect the Google Meet panel. You can still see all of the available options like creating a poll, raising your hand, or chatting with your co-workers. Miro doesn’t get in a way with a huge board, so you can easily stay in contact with anyone you are on the call with.
Currently, this new feature for Google Meet works with Google Workspace users and legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers. Of course, if you have a personal Google Account, you can also access Miro boards as long as you are 18 years old. It is nice to have all of the needed brainstorming tools in one place while you are busy with meetings.
Do you think Miro boards are a nice touch? What features do you like the most? Please, let us know your opinion in the comments below.
