New Translation Feature for Youtube Mobile Comments

Youtube reported adding a new feature that lets users translate comments into more than one hundred languages. It’s only being tested now and is available for the Youtube mobile application. To use the translation, you need to press a button near the comment. The feature will offer users to translate the comments into their native language automatically. Although, it can be changed in Youtube account settings. 

 

This feature intends to help people around the world to not only watch the content from other countries but also to understand what people from these regions think about it. What is more, you can translate and leave your answer to the comment. This is how the communication between foreign users appears on the platform. It’s essential for many contents, especially educational ones, news, etc. If you need to ask a question, you can get an answer from a person from another country. To see the translation, just press a button located above the like, dislike, and reply options. The functions won’t show you the translation automatically, though. Anyway, you can switch between the original text and translation easily. Among the available languages are Spanish, Deutch, French, Portuguese, and many others. Now, the feature is available for the mobile app, but Youtube is going to add it to the website too. 

 

The comment translation is not the only function Youtube offers for global integration. Recently, it began implementing the automatic translation of the video titles and descriptions. So, the users could see the name of the video in their native language. It makes searching for the specific content much easier and allows users to watch the videos that people make in other regions or languages.
