Netflix Now Allows You to Clean Your ‘Continue Watching’ List on TV

Grace Edwards 09 Feb 2022

Watching Netflix is an evening tradition for a huge number of people. Sometimes you find a show on TV, begin watching it and either something distracts you or you fall asleep. When this happens, the show that you haven’t finished watching will be added to the annoying ‘Continue Watching’ list that you will have to see each time you decide to log in.

While the feature is useful when you have several shows, they can easily pile up and you get an endless list that you really don’t need. Previously, it was possible to clear out the ‘Continue Watching’ list by using your smartphone or computer. Now, the company added a feature that allows you to easily do this right on your smart TV.

The company made an announcement this week and provided instructions on how users can do this. The process is as easy as it can be, as all you should do is choose the titles that you want to delete and then click on ‘Remove from Continue Watching’ in the menu.

If you don’t know how and want to go through the same process on your phone or computer, it is just as straightforward. To delete shows on your phone, you should tap on the menu with three dots, click on ‘Remove from Row’ in the menu that will appear. When using a computer, you should hover over the thumbnail of the show, wait for it to enlarge, and then click on ‘X’ that will pop up below the image.

With so many people watching Netflix on their TVs, this addition will surely be a convenient one. Another long-awaited Netflix feature is removing the rows that continue offering you films that you have already watched several times. Hopefully, Netflix will get to them and fix the recommended list as well.
