The second installment of X-Men '97 is undergoing significant developments, although the head of Marvel's streaming content urges fans to maintain their composure. The conclusion of X-Men '97 has recently been witnessed by Disney Plus subscribers, with promises of a forthcoming season, although it may be a bit of a wait.

"Currently, we're at the animatic stage. As you might be aware, animation is a time-consuming process. There was this excellent segment in Invincible's second season," Brad Winderbaum, a prominent figure at Marvel, shared with ComicBook.com. "They absolutely perfected it. It's brilliant but demands time. Because the studio waits to assess the success of the initial season before committing to a sequel, there's inevitably a delay. Fortunately, we secured approval for the next season ahead of its debut, potentially shortening the wait time. However, we ask for everyone's patience during this period."

Thus, while the second season of X-Men '97 is in its early stages, the update suggests progress is well underway. Fans are hopeful it won't be long until the animated X-Men adventure returns to their screens.

Looking ahead, Marvel's roster includes Deadpool 3, launching this summer, featuring a collaboration between Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds's Deadpool. Additionally, this year will introduce the WandaVision spin-off Agatha All Along, which underwent several title changes before its finalization. Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as the eponymous witch Agatha, with a supporting cast comprising Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, and Patti LuPone.
