Join Pokémon Go On Its Sixth Anniversary

Pokémon Go is about to start its July events, and the sixth anniversary of the game is one of them. The company is ready to set a celebration dedicated to that number. This year the pearl of the event will be Charizard, and it is amusing how its number on Pokédex is so conveniently #006.

The anniversary celebration will take place from July 6 to July 12, and Niantic has prepared some interesting contests for the users. For example, players will be able to enter a special birthday Field Research, and of course, we can’t forget the Battle Weekend. There are a lot of appearances on the way, and you can explore new event wilds.

You can go on an adventure and try to capture Party Hat Charmeleon and Party Hat Charizard, and if you already have them, there are possible evolution materials for these Pokémon. Of course, we can’t forget about the start of the show – Pikachu, so the event will also feature Cake Costume Pikachu. Field Research will also hold Pokémon from other numerous generations to catch.

In addition, the Battle of Weekend will start July 9 and last until July 10. During these days, you will need to try and release different Pokémon, like Latios, from the evil hand of Team Go Rocket. Giovanni is up to no good, turning creatures into their Shadow forms. The Shadow variant will also include Shinx, Geodude, and Purrioin.

The anniversary can’t happen without special items in the shop: players will be able to buy stickers and avatar items related to the sixth birthday of the game. You can access these rewards through opening gist and spinning PokéStops. There are a lot of events that players can anticipate in July, and the birthday celebration is probably the most exciting out of all of them.
