Instagram tab ‘Shop’ now has a section named ‘Ads.’ Instagram is expanding its e-commerce possibilities by launching new advertising services. According to the company, they want to try a new approach to the business. Users will see single images as well as the carousel of images from selected American-based companies. Instagram will try US advertisers before coming to the world markets. Instagram officials plan to reveal new features around the world in the next months.

Instagram Shops was released last year as a part of Facebook's strategy to provide business owners the opportunity to reach the client. That year Facebook’s social platforms offered better communication between businesses and their audience. Instead of following favorite brands, users were able to buy products they offer directly. Brands that wanted to get new clients online willingly cooperated with Instagram and paid for the new opportunity.

About Ads Service

Ads is another Instagram advertising feature. It will be launched as an auction-based model, like many other similar products. However, since Ads is a mobile feature, it will be visible only on mobile platforms. The number of ads will vary based on the user’s daily activities on Instagram, as well as on the popularity of the tab. Instagram says there will be more tests in order to find the balance between the content users see and the ads that appear.

Instagram currently works with a wide range of advertisers from the U, who want to test the new Ads feature. The list of names contains DEUX, Away, Boo Oh, JNJ Gifts, and Donny Davy. These brands offer different products for customers, from beauty to travel and pet products. Instagram does not share the exact date of ‘Ads’ full release around the world but hints that it will happen in several months.
