Google Chrome Rolls Out A New Level of Spam Protection
Google is constantly working to rid its users of unwanted notifications. And it is especially important to protect the system from potentially malicious sites. The latest update to the Google code will automatically block notifications from sites that are considered not sufficiently trustworthy. Google considers such notifications to be in violation of the "Developer Terms of Service". Thus, such sites will be blocked from posting notifications again in the future.
Over the years of Google's existence, the problem of spam has not received as much attention as we would like. However, recently the company has been actively working towards protecting users, their personal data, and the comfort of using the Internet. Also, recently Google has been actively experimenting with a new feature for Android that allows you to restore all previously closed tabs. The corresponding blocks of code are already in Android Tab Restore and Android Bulk Restore, indicating that this feature will be implemented soon.
According to information from the latest reports, it is known for certain that Google has become a lot more serious in combating spam notifications in Google Chrome. The new update will allow Google to deprive certain sites of the right to send notifications, while until recently it was up to the user to decide. Now once you get into the category of "undesirable" sites, the option of further mailing will simply be unavailable.
Are you annoyed by the requests to receive notifications on the various sites you visit? Do you think it is worth trusting the system to automatically decide for the user which sites can send notifications and which cannot? Please share your thoughts below.
