Dune & Fortnite Crossover — Prepare for Sandworms
Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya will make a cameo in the battle royale game. Seemingly, they will be available as purchasable skins. Sandworms have also been noticed nearby.
Spice and V-bucks must flow. So, the new skins based on the Dune characters will give the process a light boost. Together with that, Fortnite finally revealed its main attraction for the Fortnitemare event.
It turns out, the Cubes — power-generating leftovers that we’ve got after the alien ship was destroyed — have been spawning towards the center of the map.
As a result, it led to the emergence of the Convergent Zone. All this outrage is overseen and curated by the Cube Queen. She’s a mysterious entity — probably an alien insect humanoid — who commands the swarm of the interdimensional monsters, including the tower-sized devastators.
All this pandemonium is an overture to the Wrath of the Cube Queen Story — the main antagonist of the Fortnitemare event.
As the memo from the studio says:
The sovereign of the Cubes, known as The Cube Queen, has been unveiled, marking the start of the new chapter in Fortnitemares 2021, which is accessible from now until November 1. Check out the trailer for a look as the Cube Queen has seized control of Fortnite Island.
And this organically leads to the Sideways weapons, which players were offered to produce. Sideways weapons are those that were customized with the pieces of alien cubes, which can be obtained during raids.
The central star of this new arsenal is surely the Sideways Scythe. It looks terrifying and is capable of stopping an onslaught of the cube monsters quickly.
However, it turns out the Scythe isn’t glitch-free. Its Smash Attack, if used on elevated ground, leads to your avatar’s death.
It looks like Fortnite has prepared a good deal of new content for Halloween. What do you think they’re going to do for Xmas? Let us know in the comments!
