Destroy Cheaters in CoD Using God Mode
Everyone knows that banning cheaters achieves nothing. They simply create another account and continue to ruin games for the rest of us. Thus, developers of Call of Duty decided to approach this problem from a different angle, ensuring that the cheaters will have zero fun playing their game. The new anti-cheat software in Call of Duty Warzone will not ban cheaters, instead, it will turn on ‘Damage Shield’ for the rest of the team, ensuring that bullets fired by cheaters are completely harmless.
What can be more exciting than giving cheaters a taste of their own medicine? Not only will such a match be fun to play for the rest of the team, but the cheaters will also have no fun at all. Just casually walk up to them and use a knife instead of bullets to really humiliate them.
Activision has announced in their blog that this feature will only turn on when the game detects that the cheater is actively making adjustments to the game. This precaution ensures that Damage Shield will not be activated when it is not needed. Law-abiding players have nothing to worry about, while cheaters will not be too happy with their predicament.
Bans will also be issued to cheaters, but these bans will be a lot harder for cheaters to circumvent since they will extend to all Call of Duty games including all CoD games that are going to be released. Basically, you’ll be banned forever from the whole franchise if you’re a cheater with multiple offenses.
What are your thoughts on cheating in Call of Duty? Do you think this new ‘Damage Shield’ will be effective at persuading cheaters to finally stop ruining games for other players? Tell us what you think about this issue in the comment section below.
