Dataminers Made a Playable Mod out of GTA V Next Gen Feature

Does it feel unjust to you that some features in GTA V are only meant for those rich-a** muthaz with the newest consoles? If so, kudos to those data miners who discovered a new paint category for the next-gen version GTA V and turned it into a mod compatible with the current PC version. Color to the people!

Though GTA V (and its Online mode) has been around since 2013, it keeps attracting new players yearly, so it will make it to the next-gen consoles in 2022 with some benefits for the newcomers or for the most loyal fans. The bonuses for the newest consoles will, in particular, include new color schemes for your cars. It’s something like buying the recent iPhone that looks completely like the previous year’s model, but the color of the season tells the world you got it fresh.

In the meanwhile, a player named NAstyWiNN3R (on Twitter, at least) has discovered that new files started leaking into the new versions of GTA Online. The exclusive color for the next-gen players is called The Chameleon, and though it’s stable and not changing with your mood, the colors are different and seem to fade into each other, as if the car is really chameleoning the environment.

Another member of the community, named WildBrick142, has given some time (around three days, they say) to extract the files and pack them into a mod that can be installed upon the existing GTA V for Windows. The video uploaded by WildBrick142 shows how the color of the car changes as you change the perspective.

Luckily for next-gen console owners, there will be more exclusive stuff that includes new voicing for Franklin, new mission passed themes, and, of course, more music. GTA V is alive and developing, and that’s what most players love about it. And what do you love about GTA V? Except for this chameleon paint, of course.
