Can We Expect Windows 11 or Is It Just a Rumor?
There have been a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming announcement teased by Microsoft. On June 24th, the company will come out with some big news, so it’s only natural that there have been plenty of speculations and even leaks coming from different sources. We have to wait only several days to see whether any of them have been true or not.
Some Windows users claim that the announcement will have to do with the new update for Windows 10, which is named Sun Valley. It is supposed to significantly enhance the design of Windows in several ways. The operating system is likely to get gradient colors, floating menus, and rounded corners instead of the current sharp ones.
At the same time, there have been a lot of talks about rebranding. At the beginning of June, a famous leaker, Evan Blass, posted a short tweet that said: ‘From the "Don't take screenshots of this build" department: a forthcoming Microsoft OS called Windows 11.’ A lot of people seem to agree that Windows 11 is an unlikely name because of what has been said by Satya Nadella that Windows 10 would become the last Windows version before it’s fully updated.
Since the tweet, there has been another leak. This time, we got a sneak peek of Microsoft’s Azure documentation in which there is a mention of Windows 11 at the bottom. Because it is documentation that comes directly from Microsoft, there is a chance that this has something to do with the update. Whether we get Windows 11 or it will be a minor update, we will find out in just a few days. Until that time, we only have hearsay to rely on.
