Among Us: New Roles and Collaborations to Come in 2022

Last year, the already iconic Among Us got even better with an update. But Shapeshifters, Guardian Angels, and new maps are not the limit. There is always more to Among Us, and the planned updates will include lots of new content. If you look at this game by the end of 2022, you may decide it’s a shapeshifter partly similar to the original – so much new stuff is about to arrive.

The most urgent updates include some interface tweaks that make the game more playable. Quality of life updates (so they are called in the official blog) include tweaked account creation menus, Cosmicube redemption, chat selection, and more. The updated version gets more intuitive and easier to figure out.

Even a more exciting update is a friends list that allows players to contact each other. The creators of the game acknowledge its social character, so they make it an even friendlier environment for communication that can be taken outside the game. Finally, it introduces Ghostface cosmetics (inspired by the rereleased Scream movie, not the Wu-Tang Clan member).

As for the most interesting part (new roles, maps, and so on), they are just mentioned in the post, but little is specified. It’s already confirmed that the fifth map is also in the plans, but it remains unknown what it will be and when we will see it. The developers also promise new characters and new modes. It’s not clear yet when these new features will appear in the game. The developer has not published any precise or even approximate dates. Instead, we get an opportunity to buy some plushies and other authorized merchandise.
