Recent reports reveal that a newly created multiplayer first-person shooter by Respawn Entertainment has emerged has been discontinued. The studio, recognized for its projects such as Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, announced this cancellation without prior notice.

This information surfaced through a post on LinkedIn by Emilee Evans, a former employee of Respawn, revealing that the project she contributed to for the past year has been halted. The specific details of the game remain unclear; however, there there were theories suggesting that it could have been a fresh intellectual property. Evans also mentioned in her update that she is now seeking new employment, suggesting that others involved in this endeavor are in a similar situation.

Earlier this year, a different game from Respawn was also shelved as part of EA's reorganization efforts. Currently, it appears that the primary focus of the studio will be on continuing development and support for Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi. Fans of Titanfall will have to remain optimistic for future developments related to that franchise.
