Dynasty Warriors Origins Unveiled: Expanding the Legend of the Three Kingdoms

Dynasty Warriors Origins, the forthcoming major release from Omega Force and Koei Tecmo's well-loved musou series, was showcased extensively during a recent panel at the ChinaJoy 2024 event. This presentation provided an in-depth look at new gameplay features and character abilities, with a significant amount of detail revealed about its systems.

Remarkably, this installment will feature the highest number of playable characters ever seen in the series, along with the largest number of soldiers visible on screen. Omega Force describes this as providing an "overwhelming sense of realism." Additionally, NPC AI has seen substantial improvements, with enemies now coordinating attacks more effectively and allies needing to devise strategies to combine their fighting skills.

Dynasty Warriors Origins will present an "in-depth interpretation" of the Three Kingdoms tale, exploring ancient China in great detail. The story begins before the Yellow Turban Rebellion, with the protagonist visiting a village devastated by famine. It is here that they encounter Zhang Jiao and Guan Yu, leading to a partnership formed to combat the forces of corrupt officials.

Scheduled for release next year, Dynasty Warriors Origins will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox X/S Series.
